If today , Courbevoie has reinvented itself by focusing on the tertiary sector , from the end of the 19th century , the city was particularly renowned for its pharmaceutical, cosmetic and automobile industries, home to emblematic companies such as Cadum, Delage, VéloSolex, Banania and Guerlain .
Since then, the city has promoted its historical heritage through various initiatives.

The park of Bécon-les-Bruyères, 15 minutes from the house, invites you to stroll and appreciate nature, with magnificent flowerbeds. A main path, bordered by a green lawn, leads to the terrace of the old castle. From this belvedere, visitors can enjoy a very pretty view of the Seine, Paris, with the majestic Eiffel Tower as the highlight .
The park preserves two beautiful examples, the Pavilion of the Indies (can be visited by appointment) and the pavilion of Sweden and Norway , both from the Universal Exhibition of 1878 and today listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments.

During a stroll in the neighborhood, you can explore the banks of the Seine River which inspired the impressionists, Georges Seurat, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and Alfred Sisley.
A whole cultural walking route retraces the different views that inspired the impressionist painters.
And why not rent a small electric boat without a license to sail on the Seine River. The budget is very accessible and the memory will be unforgettable!
